Default Did I get a good deal?

Just put a deposit on a Key West 219FS with hard top t-top. Ice blue bottom and white sides. Yamaha F150xb, Garmin 942xs, Fusion radio, 6 speakers, full cushions and Wesco tandem axle aluminum trailer. 56k OTD. I think its a pretty good deal. What do you guys think?

Also I have it with no gauges right now. Everything will be run through the Garmin. Anyone have this set-up? Good? Bad?

That’s an good deal . I think a 200 hp on the boat would have been better . I had the Key West FS 203 with a t- top , Yamaha 150 and my boat would hit 46-47 mph wot . Up here in the northeast with a 200 , the 219 with options , t- top and trailer sells for 62,900 That 219 is a better hull than the 203 as it is stepped .- Cooker

Was that the only boat you looked at? Meaning, brand?

My new boat has the same garmin and no gauges. I love it. Everything in one place. You can put whatever you want in the 4 corners. I’m currently doing speed, rpm, trim and fuel economy.

This is what it looks like when doing both gps and depth (gauges on the side).

On the GPS only screen it’s the 4 corners.

I second the idea of hanging a 200 on her vs. the 150. Can't be much cost difference, rigging and such pretty much stays the same. Resale value would also be better down the road.

I would also suggest hanging a 200.

You can also consider the 175 yamaha It has the obvious 25 hp jump, has a bigger alternator, burns regular gas unlike the 200, and costs a fraction of the 200 upgrade The 175 is by far the better value in engine size increase price wise. That said, I cannot comment on how the 150,175,or 200 do on that boat just making the suggestion that you also ask about a 175 upgrade.

As others have said, spend the extra money on the 200. Would also have the gauges and not rely solely on the Garmin

Completely agree with the motor HP bump. Different boat but when I was shopping for my 2005 Striper 21'DC back in 2005, we seatrialed one with an F150. Brought the whole family and ended up going with the 200HP... Blew that motor in 2011 and hung a 250 Optimax on her.. Now THAT put a smile on my face

Listen to what everyone is telling you. Up the HP now. I’d get a 250 on that boat, personally. I have the KW 239FS with a 300. You’re going to love the boat, but you need more HP.

Never once have I thought, “sure wish I didn’t have all that HP back there.”

219 needs a 200 minimum. We have done a couple with F150s and we learned our lesson. F200XB is the way to go

I think you got a great deal. I don't see a need to put dedicated Yamaha gauges on the boat. If your garmin screen goes out you won't give a damn about your RPMs and fuel burn because you'll spend all of your brainpower trying to figure out where you are.
