Default Storing 4g Radar For Winter

I have a folding radar arch for my boat which allows me to get it under bridges. When the arch is folded the Simrad 4g radar dome is oriented vertically. Is it ok to store the radar dome like this during a Wisconsin winter?

Interesting question: I stored mine on it's side, because that's how it fit on the shelf after I pulled it and I didn't even think of consequences, it works fine after re-installation. Mine is B&G 4g dome, same as the Simrad.
Those mechanisms are tough and durable, they get big dynamic loads while spinning when the boat is underway.

I had the top half of my furuno open array open and upside down for a day or two while I was changing the cable. Not long term, but everything worked fine afterwards.
