New Propeller hub system for Powertec?
I heard that Powertec has a new hub system that has replaces the old pressed in rubber hub mounts. I have a Yami F250 with a powertec 4 blade on my Boaston Whaler outrage. I have yet to spin the hub in over 13 years. Anyone know about this new hub system-I also heard you can carry the parts and replace yourself if you spin a hub.
. The inserts are like long tubes of hot glue gun glue sticks.Tell me what you know about this system? |
I have a powertech that is 15 or so years old. It’s has the hub you are explaining, small rods in the hub. I heard they have newer softer rods to assist with the chatter on 4 strokes. But, I think the hub is the same as it always has been.

PowerTech! offers several different types of hubs, including conventional press-in rubber, square bore (Flo-Torq style) and Cushion-Lok.
Their Cushion-Lok hubs have been used for almost two decades. Different models get different hubs. You may already have a Cushion-Lok hub. If so, there will be a “CL” in the part number etched into the prop. |
