Not all parts of the country have branded gasolines though local stores may have Techron advertised in their gasolines. In any case the amount of Techron in the product of discussion, Ring Free or Quickleen products is much higher concentration when mixed as directed.

I recently did some light research and math on Techron Marine which which I think is a good product but my studies led me to buy Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner and Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment to accomplish the same job when combined or to be applied discreetly.
Techron anecdote follows:
My twin Honda 40 carburetors, in spite of being drained every fall, will have one of the idle circuits plugged up come spring. I put a strong mix of Techron in some fuel and run the engine as much as possible on the idle circuit for a few minutes and let soat for a day. Next day it's good as new.
Most of the familiar additives including Sea Foam have been tried without success.
Brand X with the same family of detergents as Techron may work but for now it's T for me.

I switched from Ringfree to Chevron Marine about a year ago and so far, so good. I also switched from Yamaha 2 cycle oil to Pennzoil XLF and have a LOT less smoke when starting the engines. You can get great deals on both products form Amzon by setting up a regular purchase.

On paper seems to offer the same advantages as Ring Free Plus.
Unlike Ring Free, there's no mention in the ad re keeping fuel injectors clean. I assume it does? This is why I use RF.
Yamaha doesnt make Ring Free. The question has always come up whether Chevron made Ring Free. Perhaps their exclusive agreement ran out.

I did my own research a few years ago. I compared the MSDS of Ring not so Free and the Techron "ConsentratePlus". They appear to contain the same, main ingredient. I also use, tried and true, Marvel Mystery Oil. It still adds up less than the RingFree. I use Rec 89 or Rec 90. I never seem to have a moisture problem, Racor is always clean.

I have a Yamaha 250 still under YES warranty, should I continue to just use Ring Free until warranty expires or am I OK to change since Ring Free is only recommended?
I am typically overly conservative when it come to my boat maintenance, but my Dad was a Chevron Petroleum Engineer, so there is a little warm feeling about using this product.

I have owned my F300 for the past 6 seasons and always used RF. I just purchased a gallon of the Techron for when I run out of RF. As far as I'm concerned, it is basically the same stuff for a fraction of the price.

I do not believe that Ring Free use is a requirement for your warranty. Yamaha suggests you use it.

I use Ring Free and Startron. Not sure if it makes any difference but I like the piece of mind (I usually don't bother with snake oils but several reliable and knowledgeable people have recommended this cocktail....Ring Free for decarb (naptha) and Startron for fuel stabilization).
So, my question is: Is the Techron Marine a functional equivalent of the RingFree/Startron cocktail?????
If so, at this price I am in.....
(of course the Prime Day deal is gone...maybe a Black Friday special in the works)
