Default FREEMAN 42LR Used Boat Prices have become crazy

There is a current thread on this forum : Proof that the Used Boat Market has Lost It's Mind.

To add further proof look at these two Freeman 42 LRs for sale on Yachtworld.

This boat has Sale Pending!

This boat has very low hours and may be sold soon!

It may all end after the election if the Polls are correct even though they were wrong last time.

Someone will buy it. So why not price it high?

Supply and demand. Just like that hot xmas toy that cost 70 bucks in september and 300 bucks in december.

When all of this paper wealth created by the FED evaporates, look out below.

No anti-raccoon bilge hatch locks, or raccoon dookie easy-off coating for 1.2m? pass.

I guess if houses continue to sell at asking price or over its fine for other things to also. We have been trying to get a mountain house for almost a year. The NC mountain real estate prices are bonkers right now. It’s selling

Those will likely be tenders to a larger boat

We can complain all we want and always will. Everything is always "too expensive" . I remember back in 1992 and my dad driving around to find gas under a $1 Bec it was too expensive. As long as humans make money, things will cost more. Simple economics that are not so simple.

I don't believe it. One boat listed in Miami but photos from a dock nowhere near Miami. The other is generic photo that Freeman had taken following Miami boat show two years ago. I think they are just trying to make the other listed boat prices more palatable. BS!

I confirmed today with Paul at Freeman Boatworks and he remarked that it was occurring in the crazy South Florida market where there is money and some of those with the means simply pay more so they don't have to wait.

Asking price and actual sale price are two different things. The actual sale price is rarely disclosed publicly for any boat.

The actual sale price agreed upon and awaiting completion is supposedly over $1.2 million.

Can't wait until some investment firm starts a fund invested in Freeman build slot options. Or perhaps a Freeman build slot cryptocurrency.

Sorry...but I think you're insane if you pay 1.2+ million for a center console of any kind..I have an 2014 Invincible 36 with Trip f300's... paid 265 used...and I still have 1 million in the bank.

Now if you won't miss 1 million..go for it..and more power to you.

I think “stupid” may be too harsh of a word....I prefer insane. For comparison, (assuming your 36 is a monohull), what year is it?

Just out of curiosity, what is the true price of a base - moderately optioned Invincible 40 or 46’ cat or a Freeman 42 for those that are content with the wait to have one built?
