Fuel Stabilizer w/ non-ethanol fuel?
#1

I burn 90 Octane ethanol free fuel in my Yamaha 150. As boating season ends, what's everyone's thoughts about the need to add stabilizer to the fuel? I normally keep the tank at least 3/4 full all winter. It might get some occasional use if we get a nice day here in Virginia over the winter months, but for the most part the boat will just be in it's slip on the lift all winter.

Treat it as it will help with water in the fuel and it will not hurt anything in there. Fuel today is subject anyway. I treat all fuel with stabilizer just to be safe. Again it will not hurt anything and you can not over treat .

Personally I prefer Sta-Bil Marine 360 and add it to my tank at the recommended rate of 1 oz. per 10 gallons. (adding a bit more during off-season doesn't hurt)
My engine seems to like it throughout the boating season, as I'm not 100% positive that the boat dock's non-ethanol fuel is really that pure.

I run mine as low as possible treat with a good dose of Sea Foam and Top her off next year.
Change Fuel Water separator after first weekend.

I use Sea Foam all year long as a fuel system cleaner and then add a little more when storing an engine over the winter, even when using non ethanol fuel. Just make sure you run the engine long enough after adding fuel stabilizer to get it in the engine's fuel rails and injectors or carbs.

I had a negative experience with CRC fuel stabilizer. I'll never buy that again.

My boat has seen nothing but non-ethanol fuel since it was new, and I put in the appropriate dose of Stabil and Yamaha Ring-Free in every tankful without fail, as a precautionary measure.
