Does anyone have any info on Taylorcraft Boatworks in Mobile, AL? The attached screen shot is from an ad I found in the late 50s. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Never heard of them. Where is Fulton Rd? I'm not old enough to remember those type of phone numbers but I guess that you can convert the GR 9 to 479 so that would be Midtown. Fulton St maybe?

That's the only thing I can think as well. The reason I asked all of this, my grandfather just passed away on Monday. While we were going through some of his older Army pictures and what not, we found a folder containing all of this info on Taylorcraft Boatworks and he was signing documents as the president of the company.

Just didn't know if anyone had any more info on it. He was always a very private person and these are some of the things we are starting to learn.

Check with your local library who likely has newpapers from the period and may have access to Chamber of Commerce records.
