I’m running a new DF150 on an older Skeeter 22’ bay boat. Getting 40 mph at 5500 wot with 15-1/4 x 19 Suzuki prop. Not an exact match but close - reports show a DF 200 would add about 3 mph. My boat weighs about 3800 lbs in service, 2400 lbs dry. I may gain a little by raising motor one inch or finding a lighter fishing buddy!

Default Df200

I have run various boats and outboards for the past 60 yrs, currently running a 04 Suzuki 200 DF on a 22 Sea Hunt DC since 05. The DF200 is the strongest, best running engine I have ever seen, gets boat up on plane quickly with 1 or 8 on board fully loaded, have never used more than 60 gal in a day on 60 mile off shore tripS and trolling all day

Just replaced my old faithful DT225 with a DF200 earlier this season. The new 200 outshines the 225 in every respect. The boat is a 92 cape craft, 2900lb hull weight, 24 degree deadrise. I’m running a 4x15.25x22 prop and top out at 47mph/6050 rpm (loaded). I cruise between 28 & 32 mph burning between 8 & 8.9 gph depending on conditions. The boat is always full of fuel, ice, and a livewell full of bait. Probably the biggest improvement outside of the much improved fuel burn is the ability to plane much lower than the old motor. I used to have to get to 22-23mph in order to hold plane, I can now hold plane at about 18 which really helps when it gets snotty.

Nothing beats real world #'s!
It seems like it is a strong 200...
