Default Catamaran 2mpg 60mph?

Is there a cat out there that has speed and fuel efficiency (besides the ones I won't spend that much money on Freeman, invincible I know prowler would likely fit the bill but you can't find one for sale.) Looking for 2+ mpg cruising at a mid 40's speed and top speed at or close to 60. Does it exist outside the big 3?

Don't think "the big 3" gonna do that either in terms of cruising mid 40's w any kind of load and get an honest 2mpg. Sorry.

Probably would need hydrofoil support.check fincat, momba designs. Foils up efficiency up to 40 pct.
not sure why but these designs never sold very well.

Compmillenia is probably the closest you'll find.

Not in a fishing boat. Maybe a 25 ft go-fast with twins 250's. My Cobra Predator might get close to that if set up right and running light but it would probably be terrible at 30 mph.

No, my 34 Freeman with 300 V8 Verados will do 60 (light) but never will get 2mpg. No way. I have seen 1.8 super light cold day and 38mph but that is it. Any load or any faster and the MPG goes down.

I suppose if your only goal was efficiency you could strip down my boat and get the 2mpg: lose the T-top, basic console, basic leaning post, lose the house batteries. You would get it but the boat would be pretty boring.

When I sea trialed the HHH 35, with twin 350 verados, it got 1.6 at 50 and topped out at 66. Fuel would have been better around 40, but I can’t remember and didn’t take a picture.

I would suggest the HHH. They are getting good numbers and Heath can give you better insight. I think with a pair of V8 300 you would be getting that spend and MPG that you want.

Would compare apples to apples. Hard ttop, full curtains, full fuel. I pick up 3mph on my 29 without curtains.

A Prowler 25 would definitely do it, but one you get bigger than that it's unlikely: First 60+ mph 25 Prowler

39 Compmillennia Cat with Merc 350's light ended up hitting 71mph..real world use and all around props were 67mph. 2.0mpg at 45mph.

I feel a pair of Merc 300's would be perfect. Give Jim a call but pricing is going to be like all the other high end cats but built using high end materials.

That looks stripped down. Add a T-top, windshield, etc. That is all drag that slow you way down and cost you fuel.

Hard to compare numbers unless the loads are the same and the layout matches. Running stripped down hulls is going to show impressive numbers.
