So I received a quote for $5900 to install a Minn Kota Terrova 112 lbs w/ I-Pilot 72" with 3- SRM-27 Batteries full installation and a little custom work to to ensure it all fits perfectly. Wanted to know for the guys that have trolling motors if this is a good price? Please let me know.

The thing that gets me is 6k to put on a battery powered trolling motor and they are surface mount.
That's crazy.

so thats $2300 for the TM, about ~$450 for the batteries, ~$300 for a 3 bank charger ($3,050 Materials) what all custom work are they doing to justify $2850 in labor? Genuinely curious, what boat is this going on?

Not to argue with anyone, but many of us are very handy and able to do everything ourselves on our boats. Some people are not. Maybe the OP isn't. But I think it's very correct that the breakdown as stated above, with parts and labor, well, the labor is a little out there.
If you're not able to do the work yourself and have to pay for it, shop around and be brave enough to negotiate.

Let me try to get a breakdown from my local guy. He gave me the quote based on work he had just done on another customer's boat. In that customer's case they installed a 84" 36 volt unit. They also intalled 3 AGM batteries, a charger and something hooked to the Suzuki motors that would allow charging from the motors to the trolling batteries. In the end, the total was about $6k.
As with my case, something needed to happen with the windlass and a high bow railing as well.
