Funny, I have been on one and it sure didn't look like a floating(spelled correctly) s_ _t to me. No one will doubt they are pretty, and they are fast and well laid out. Not perfect but I have never been on one that is perfect.

They sure sell alot of them for being so bad? I did notice that you have 5 posts and they are all identical. If they are so bad, surely you have details. You must like it enough to not want to sell it because making comments like that pretty much assures you will never be able to sell it.

Welcome to the forum.....
I am sorry you felt your first post needed to be one lamblasting a manufacturer. Not that others have not done it, but most weren't well-received and often looked upon as trolls. With that in mind, let me ask a few questions that may help you avoid being branded as a malcontent.
Is Luhrs aware of all these problems, and if so, how long have they had to correct them?
Was there a punch list done at the time of delivery?
Were any of these problems noticed at the time of delivery, and if so, were they brought to the attention of Luhrs and the dealer?
Have you been dealing directly with Luhrs or the dealer?
Hopefully your problems will be addressed and taken care of to your satisfaction.

I have the same year boat, and I had a "punch list" that I took to Brad Senguinetti (The head of Customer service). He worked well with me and Luhrs is correcting the early hulls with the rudder issues. I think if you take things to them with the right attitude you will get the items taken care of. This was a new model -- All manufacture have some issues with the early hulls. I have purchased 2 new baots from Luhrs and will buy a 3rd when the time comes

As I said, no boat is perfect but it seems that most of those are an easy fix. If you bought from a dealer, get your dealer involved. If not, get Luhrs involved. Luhrs is probably like alot of companies that drag their feet a little on warranty items because it is "added cost" to them. But, instead of doing this here, go to them, tell them what you expect and be firm. I would bet they will get everything taken care of.

Based on your list, it just seems like there are no major big items that cannot be fixed. Good luck to you but I would suggest re-thinking your strategy and doing the internet lambasting as a last resort.

In 41 Luhrs defense, I have seen the same type of "workmanship" on a different luhrs model of similar vintage. The owner is in the process of working out some major issues with Luhrs so I don't want to go into that much detail, but in my opinion, the issues I saw were not simple manufacturing oversights but blatant shoddy construction. The boat is basically falling apart, and I'm not talking about a few loose screws here and there, etc, but of major items breaking loose of the hull, major operating system flaws, etc, etc.

I can fully understand OP's position on the matter and feel for OP. I know a lot of people have praised Luhrs and I think they are attractive looking boats, but based on what I have personally seen, I have serious doubts about their ability to consistently manufacture a good product and would never buy one.

This isn't just some light switches and I sure wouldn't call them minor. Maybe I'm picky but if I'm spending that kinda coin I would not expect a punch list to include remove and replace rear bulkhead, cracked transom etc. I guess I would expect a big punch list buying an entry level boat that skimps on fit and finish and overall weight of the boat compared to other boats but buying cheaper boats shouldn't mean you get a boat that needs this kind of work right out of the gate. I gotta friend with a newer 32 and he's been down a similar rode they did take care of his hull issues (voids etc) but why should you have to deal with that so soon I guess thast why they only have a 5 year hull warranty. I guess you get what you pay for.

I say that if you spend big bucks on a brand new boat, the manufacturer should make every effort to make you happy. The list of problems sounds like a huge headache, not a series of minor inconveniences. I would be p**&&**ed also!

That's no surprise to me.

Our local Luhrs dealer finally gave up on the line due to hassles over warranty reimbursement issues and the (lack of) quality of their products.

Sorry to hear about your issues.

Good luck!

Why even take delivery on a boat with some obvious issues? Would anyone here buy a NEW car with a door that didn't stay shut? Something is missing. Was there no "walk through"?
