If you are looking to step up and a luhrs is on your list, you will have your pick at very good prices. It's not just 41's, there are a LOT of late model luhr's for sale in all size ranges.

It would seem luhrs owners are in full flight.

Ahhh, the power of the www....
It's a shame Luhr's handled the problem in this fashion. They make a decent boat....at least with every hull other than the 41. Sometimes a hardline corporate stance hurts more than just the company taking it. It's a good thing Luhrs is not a publicly traded company....they would have some 'splainin' to do to the stockholders.
Something tells me they may soon be a larger companies acquisition.

Business and boats don't mix very well, especially when you have two sons of a patriarch entrepreneur "running" the company, and friends and family put in key positions, acting with impunity against their customers. They have a way of losing touch with reality, and don't have the business sense or training to know what is best in the grand scheme of things. However, I hear they are a lot of fun at a party!

I actually saw a recall notice posted by US Boat magazine showing that the 41 had a recall for the very problem these owners have been complaining about. Luhrs fix appears to be adding glass to the bottom of the hull. Very interesting!!! Like patching the Statue of Liberty.

I dont mean to drag this back to the front page again.... but...

Does anyone watch NASCAR? they had a massive rain delay today and they went around interviewing the drivers to kill time. Well, It turns out that Greg Biffle has a spankin' new 41 Luhrs sportfish that he keeps in Mexico and just couldnt say enough about. I am assuming to they must have paid him... He said "Luhrs 41" about 6 times in a two minute inteview...

Yeah, hes a driver... not a boater... But I still thought it was interesting.

Considering he spends all day driving to the left, he probably doesn't even notice the boat leaning to its port side underway!!

I heard Biffle spouting off about his Luhrs 41 in Mexico. I was howling at the TV and all the NASCAR guys I was with are thinking I am nuts. It sure looked like Biff was put up to it. I would like to know if he has a minor sponsorship with them He is a west coaster. Washington state I think. I thought it was great listening to him name drop name drop name drop. Just like Gordon and Pepsi!

I happen to have passed by Luhrs the other day to in fact see Luhrs 41's "My Sanity" boat there. This thread has become silent for one reason or another, but I did notice multiple stickers on it that read "PROPERTY OF THE U.S. MARSHALLS, NO TRESPASSING". What is that all about? What happened when you went to inspect the boat? The boat looks good by the way for what its worth. It seems all the venting over the internet caught some unwanted attention by the big eye in the sky. Thats swoot! -Son

Whoa! It sure does.

How about a picture?

Could be just an "anti tamper" device too.

Well I'm not buying a 41 Luhrs, that's for sure!

But if I hit that powerball.... I might buy 2.

Oh, I dont think they were placed there intentionally by the owner. The one on the salon door was probably 18x12 and looked like it was signed by someone. These werent small security system stickers. It may have something to do with why we never heard his update.

Yes "My Sanity" boat has been there awhile! Don't know what's up with the signs, but last I heard all the boat where going across the river to the other building! They are going down hill fast been laying people off I know of one man had well over 20 years in, moved him from GA to FL then laid him off. I heard he was heading back to GA now I hear he is done with boats all together and moving his family to IL or IN. I wish him luck on that! They messed his life up!!

I heard some dealers talking that they will not be getting anymore boats from Luhrs or Mainship. Mainship built good boats out of there GA plant but now that they in FL Dealer don't want them, can't say I blame them one bit! I have been on 30 and 34 and loved the ride of the Mainship boats. When Mainship was in NJ they built good boats. What the Luhrs brothers should have done was got ridden of two big wigs up there that are running the company into the ground. To let some of the good hard working people that knew what they was doing they keep two of the son-in-law! They only been there a couple years they let 10 20 and 25 years people go. Well Luhrs has done this to them self. They have nobody to point fingers at but them self now! May all these men and women or been let go find good jobs!!

The Luhrs brothers are a shining example of what happens when you have everything handed to you on a silver platter. Old Henry-1 must be turning over in his grave. With the glut of Silvertons on the market, I have to believe that they are in pretty bad shape as well.

Marshall Signs......lets not jump to any conclusions. Marshall signs are kind of odd.

Now if you said the boat was wrapped in "Police Line Do Not Cross" tape with a big Crime Scene sticker on the door, the answer would be more clear.
