Posts like this are EXACTLY what is needed ,, I don't care what some Liberal from Mass. thinks,, don't like the thread, stop reading it and go out and work for Hillary to get elected,,, She'll probably outlaw boats because they won't help pay for universal healthcare!!
Hillary, heathcare and Luhrs 41. An angle I never thought of.

How bizarre. How bizarre.
Because Hillary is at fault for the crappy Lurhs 41.

I rode by the plant in St. Auggie by water the other day..There was one 41 on dry land and two in the water tied up...The one on shore was definitely a customers boat...

Can one of the 41 owners post a detailed account of the boats running problems so I don't have to go back 56 pages?

My guess is it has something to do with the logic in the message board thread code. Once the post count gets above a certain level, it doesn't flip to the next page. I don't think there is any conspiracy, since once the page is turned, posts appear immediately. I saw this a a few other threads as well.

If you change the viewing method to nested or threaded (anything but flat), they show right away. Of course that makes them a PITA to find unless you happen to be responding to the lates topic (not post).....

Actually it looks like the thread is set to be read/approved by the moderator/administrator before it becomes visible to the viewers. I've noticed the delay on this thread for quite awhile now.

My spouse and I are owners of a 2005 Luhrs 41. we have also owned a 2000 Luhrs 32 open. We are saddened by most of what is written on this site. Our past and present experience with Luhrs and knowledge of the 41 tells us there are many facts left out. We have found Luhrs Corporation easy to contact, accountable, knowledgeable, and supportive. Our 41 has had some design problems but all have been or are being addressed in a professional manner. We have to agree with other that this is as much or more about buyer's remorse (approx. $6,000.00 per month total expenses) than issues with Luhr's company or it's boats.

Buyers remorse my a$$ -- What is the name of your boat ? What hull number do you have ? Why are 30 Luhrs 41 for sale on yachtworld -- must all have buyers remorse.

This is classic Damage Control. The PR folks are now getting involved.

Three angels is an anagram. Three angles is a code word. Angle1 - Customer no-service/operations. Angle 2 - legal. Angle 3 Public relations.

Is it possible that three angels is just a happy customer and is having his boat equity ripped out from his guts because you have decided to empower the internet to solve your problems with your boat manufacturer. Is this tactic of response something you told your manufacturer you were capable of or did you spring it on them after you agreed to buy this product and weren't happy with it. We all love technology. I would love to hear from your dealer and manufacturer what their side of the story is. I know as well as everyone there is always two sides, and I know their response is not going to happen. I have many customers per year in my business. Maybe eighty or ninety individual customers (spending hundreds of thousands each). Every year there is one customer that is so unhappy with my service they can't believe I am in business. For some reason the rest are happy. My experience with that one customer is that they are born to be unhappy. I can't change them, I can provide the service I promised and get away from them as soon as possible. It is all I can do. (Hopefully you are not those people) I hope you can get the service you were promised, don't ever have to see each other again and can move on to have a happy life which you obviously are not right now. By the way it does not matter how much you paid for your boat. All customers deserve a high level of service. This conversation is like talking to people about the stock market. If you only talk stock prices you can talk to anyone. Once you start to mention the amount of shares you are going to buy you are embarrasing yourself. But some peopls can't resist. Would have been better to keep the manufacturer out and talk about the issues. Alot healthier for this site and for all of the manufacturers satified customers of which I am sure there are plenty, and now all are harmed because of you few. I also feel sorry for them. It is possible you did not think of them before you started this post. If you did I apologize. Good luck!

P.S. Wouldn't it be great if manufacturers and Dealers had the guts to post their worst customers per year on a web site and tell their side of the story. I bet consumers would be chilled at the stories that could be told. I have not kept up with all the pages, so if any of this is redundant so be it.

threeangles:

Please provide specifics on the left out facts. This notice from the Luhrs site leads me to believe that there is something to the complaints.

"LUHRS 41 CONVERTIBLE VOLUNTARY RECALL NOTICE
Dear Luhrs 41 Convertible Owner,
The Luhrs Corporation has received reports from a few owners that, under certain conditions, early
versions of its 41 Convertible may heel to port while underway. It has also been reported that this
condition can sometimes lead to slight to moderate bow steer. To date, Luhrs has received no
reports of accidents or injuries that have resulted from this condition."

There are two questions, 1) Did Luhrs do the right thing when they discovered these problems or did they attempt to hide them, and 2) Are they now stepping up and making things right?

My interest in this is as a past, and hopefully, future boat buyer...
