I don't know anything about 41 Luhrs other than what he and you guys have written but I do know his type. 41 Luhrs was a Florida House flipper who made a little money, dumped his wife and married his trophy wife with the big bolt on boobs and got a boat he couldn't afford and had poor if any seamanship skills. So the guy try to screw the dealer when he can't get the ex-wife to sign over the old dinghy he traded in ran the new boat into the ground and suckers you guys into supporting him when he tries to screw Luhrs Boats too.

Now that some one is willing to shine the the light on 41 Luhrs and you guys can't refute what I have said. In the typical liberal way you try to change the subject and attack the messenger.

By the way I'm still looking for a trailer boat so that I can launch closer to the fishing and save days of travel by boat. Any suggestions.

You, are a turd.

What a person does , their personal finances, their family life, etc is not pertinent to the problem. The only thing that is are the facts concerning the vessels construction and handling, and the companies handling of the issue.

You are the one who brings zero facts, just crap to the forum. You offered nothing that needs refuting.

Just go do the world a favor, curl up a die.

My vote is keep the thread alive here -- this is what the Hull Truth is all about. This thread sheds a little sunlight on how some new boat owners are being treated by a manufacturer. We also get to see how the builder responds. There are a lot of lessons imbedded in this thread for the rest of us. Ultimatley the knowledge that poor products and customer treatment will be aired on a national forum can only help improve the boat building industry, (it needs all the help it can get...)

Seems to be a time delay from when a post is made and the time that the post hits the message board.
Also censorship of posts seems to be on the rise.
Maybe The Hull Truth is changing from the great resource it was to just another web site?

Will this thread get up-dated, or is it frozen?

I too have watched this thread since beginning and agree with "riv". It seems that alot of the people bashing 41 and Mr. Sunshine at first aren't bashing them anymore. This forum has been and still is a great resource and I hope it continues as such. To the readers who still think this is a funny situation I disagree with your values. It is interesting how people have to post something just to say they posted. Only my 2 cents. I look forward to seeing you ( 41 & Mr. Sunshine ) at 2008 Miami show.

Well, I hope this thread gets updated with lawsuit information.

We had been looking a Luhrs (smaller models) but this thread was enough to scratch them off our lists.

Nobody "NEEDS" a boat, and there are plenty of other makers to choose from to take a chance at getting the shaft.

Agreed, I recently had some manufacturer issues that were brought to light online. A little exposure can be good or bad, just depends on how the manufacturer responds.

41 and Mr. S, Have you been running your boats this season or tied up w/ the recall / repairs. If so have there been any new issues?
Any progress from Luhrs? I've followed this entire post but it tends to wander from the issue...(like the handling of a 41).

any presence at the Ft. Lauderdale show. They usually have all their boats indoors there, only 1 or 2 in the water

I think everyone that has responded to this rambl'n thread has been had! Nobody and I mean nobody in their right mind would buy a demo boat without a survey then take delivery with all the mentioned discrepancies then expect the manufacturer to make good!
With that being said...if a publisher were bold enough, I would package this thread into a book! It would make a good comedy and would invite the reader to decide if it were fact or fiction!

Haven't read one post of this thread, but I'll put in my two cents worth to get the number up to 1,000.

I liked some of the 70's vintage Luhrs...

41 LUHRS - 9/10/2007 4:10 PM

Hey 41 Luhrs -

I believe that boat may be improperly blocked. While I trailer my rig - it's my understanding that there should be some sort of safety chain rigged between the stands - to prevent them from taking off on you. There was a good read in one of the BOAT US publications last week on that precise topic. Hate to see that beauty get damaged on a fall from the stands - could hurt the resale.

I just want to be a part of this historic thread.

I wonder if anyone from Luhrs has seen/heard about this thread?
