It also seems Luhr's owners are more tolerant for dealing with their boats. I guess they know their getting a price point boat when they buy it and their level of expectation is lower. Joe Mariner is satisfied his boat. He has had issues for over a year that still aren't fixed shafts breaking was the first and these are major issues for a new boat. I see other owners with major issues leaking hardtops, welds coming apart, uneven glass work, Not to mention the major depreciation you get to enjoy with these fine boats.
I guess thats the line they get fed by the dealer and the company all boats have issues its normal to take a year to get them fixed. I can't believe they swallow it. Maybe they don't want to admit they made a mistake buying a Luhrs. Yes all boats are not perfect but look at a Carolina Classic, Viking, Cabo, Hatteras you wouldn't see them letting those boats off the lines like that and wouldn't use the cheaper materials used that cause alot these issues and they sure as hell wouldn't take over a year to fix a punch list and expect you to be satisfied. You get what you pay for. Pay for quality for or suffer when you step off the dock. 5 year hull warranty man they are proud of their work.

Fishtales

You don't own a 41 -- I am not claiming the 36 is junk -- The issue with Luhrs involves more than 1 person --- Don't put the blame on "Luhrs 41" he was just the first to post. Rick and I both asked Brad to be present on our boats for a sea-trial. This request was denied by Luhrs for both Rick and I. Brad knows my boat heals over --he knows they all heal over. Brad does not run the company -- I fact he is no longer is in his old position as CSR rep. The last information I have is he is in the yard doing fiberglass work. Brad will be one of the first depositions in this case. I hope he tells the truth -- I think he will.

We also have some interesting allegation by Luhrs regarding the former Director of Customer Relations/Warranty from the company. This one is vvveeerrryyy nice -- In fact you could not write a script on this one. He seems to be in some DEEP trouble. Luhrs has some major allegations regarding this man.I will be posting this story very soon.

I cant believe I just read this whole thing.

Someone please pull LUHRS credit rating and post it here for us all to see, It will give us an idea of the stability of the company.

They should have scrapped the boat at hull 1.

It can't make Luhrs happy when they check in on this thread and see it has 84,000+ views and growing.

This just in !!! Seems there are more problems at Luhrs. The Director of Customers/Warranty I was speaking of: Looks like he did not resign from all the pressure of the Luhrs 41 case. Word has it -- He had put in his 2 week notice, before the 14th day he was met at the front gate of the Luhrs facility in St. Augustine by Bill Finney. He was immediately escorted off the property and informed he was under investigation. Someone at the company had become aware of him EMBEZZLING money --yes -- He has been accused of stealing several hundred thousand dollars in fake warranty claims. Perhaps this is the reason Luhrs will not fix these boats -- THE FUNDS WERE ALL STOLEN. No wonder warranty claims have taken so long

A employee took information to John Luhrs regarding the problem ---

We will continue to update more info on this case. I know allot of you will not believe this story, but it is true

For the record I would be p****d off if I were in their shoes. I can't imagine spending that much and getting anything less than "close to perfection".
Keeping my mouth shut. But the above is the best statement.

OK this is now getting REALLY juicy...do I smell a network TV deal? Maybe LUHRS can make enough off a network TV deal to buy out all of the unsatisfied customers...wait a minute...I don't think NBC will pay (40 boats times $700k) $28M for this story!

This is getting better by the minute.

Rogue QC directors grabbing cash, bondo kings fixing defects, purposely misaligned shafts (Who knows who's shaft is misaligned? )

This may not make a TV series, maybe an episode of CSI St. Augustine???

All kidding aside, I really feel for the folks Luhrs has screwed.
There's just no excuse for that.
Whether you're rich or poor, you want value for your investment.
I am certain I will never buy a Luhrs, new or used.

I hate tell tell you but if you keep posting this stuff Luhrs lawyers are going to have a case against YOU..not the opposite......don't you realize that Luhrs can have all this stuff brought up in court and i can result in your case being dismissed
with NADA. (any lawyer will agree you should not be posting this hearsay stuff all over the web. )

If they are facts, there is nothing to worry about, even if they arent 100% accurate, this is the internet dude, hearsay rules dont apply here, it isnt a courtroom, nobody is under oath.
