How do you get the same post from 2 different people?
41 luhrs & Mr Sunshine.
And one post after the other? and 8 minutes apart?
Can 41 or Mr. Sunshine explain this? Was it an incredible coincidence?

If not I don't see how you can have any credibility at this point.

In Mr. Sunshine's defense, it looks like Luhrs 41 cut and posted his post from a different forum. Maybe they met each other at a different site and are sharing their misery. I think it was pretty stand-up of Mr. Sunshine to offer his boat name, location and a contact phone number.

They are most likely different people just massive amounts of collaboration is going on behind the scenes, I am sure... Hell, now I even work for Luhrs... While I believe they have problems with their vessels, this thread started off very poorly, so credibility has been lost.

Luhrs, please back paychecks (that I have not been getting) to my house...

From the photos that boat is a HUNK of JUNK. From a distance on the water I always thought they were pretty nice...I guess not! I don't know why people are on this guy, do not forget he is the customer. He was sold an inferior product and should be compensated for his problems. Luhrs should pick-up the BOATS (plural) and completely rehab or replace them period. THEY WERE SOLD AS NEW!!! It is not his fault because he did not have a survey done, It was labeled as NEW. I know a few attorneys that would really enjoy this one. I know one thing, with out this thread I would still think they were a nice boat. Good job on giving other consumers the heads-up.
Good luck,
JAYRTIGER

Mr. Sunshine has been a gentleman throughout this whole deal. As I wished him privately, I will wish him publicly, I hope his boat is fixed to his satisfaction. Actually, if all my posts are read, I said the same for all the ones with problems. Probably not appropriate to post Mr. Sunshines home address.

I was explaining how to cut and paste and hit the submit button. It is as simple as that...

Class Act - 2/13/2007 9:36 PM

Can't believe these gues who seem to think it is normal to have to "wash an engine room with fresh water"??

An engine room should be maintained, for sure, but that does not include washing with fresh water or cleaning salt water from it .

Please stop posting these types of idiotic comments.
Have your ever run a large (35' +) sportfisherman? These boats have fairly large engines which require two very important things to operate - Fuel + Air. Enormous amounts of air. The air comes from outside the engine room. These air vents are usually on the side of the hull or in the cockpit and are subject to spray and salt saturated air. It is common for salt residue to coat everything in an engine room because of this. Granted, there are some great new baffle systems with filter panels that are being used on higher end boats, but this is not the industry standard yet.

Cleaning and inspecting an engine room after a trip is a vital part of maintaining any boat. A dollar in preventive maintenance is worth hundreds in repairs.
bigblue54: As I said, engine room maintenance is for sure required, including the wiping down of certain areas where air intake may have gotten some salt in the area. But it does not include (at least in my book) getting into the engine room with a hose and bucket of sudsy water as was implied on another post (actually more than 1 other post). If you are doing this, good for you (maybe check you air intakes as well: there is likely a problem). It should not be required. And based on Luhrs 41 pictures, even if he did NO engine room maintenance, it is a digrace for the area to look like it does.

Luhrs hired any "independent " naval architect to review my boat last Friday. Monday I asked him for a copy, I was told Luhrs would have to forward me the copy. This must be because they paid the bill. I have not received a copy as of this morning. If he is not finished -- Must be lots to report. Maybe he agrees with my naval architect -- "not fit for ocean use"

By the way -- Where is LUHRS 41 , I can't reach him now. No post of this forum ??? Maybe we have another buy-out ??? Might be out fishing in a new boat ??

Another week gone -- another week my boat is on blocks

I suspect everyone at Luhrs is at the boat show trying to sell some future repair jobs.

I need more luhrs owners to contact me. Your boats are worth nothing on resale. I have been in contact with other owner of these 41 luhrs. So far 10 ownersto date and counting. The ownersI have spoken to are experiencing the same problems and are being told that this is the first time we at luhrs are hearing about this. Which is a lie!!! They have known about these problems for years. Something needs to be done.

We can help you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need you on our team

Thanks Rick M

I can be reached at luhrsucks@yahoo.com
