Hmmm, according to your sig, 41 Luhrs = POS, seems appropriate.

I was the same way. When I first joined this was bumped up. With so many posts I had to read it. I couldn't stop. I believe I was up til 4:00 am and was dragging ass at work the next day. IIRC I made my first post on this thread when I finished reading.

I hope the mods never lock this thread. I would doubt that this saga is over and I like the reaction posts that first timers make. It really is a good thread. Probably the best I have ever read. Because of this thread, when I find a new forum I like I sort the replies and read the most replied to thread. NONE have come close to this.

I give it a 5/5.

Is there a way to search the HIN# and see who and where the boat is now registered?

Look this guy bought the boat at the time the economy was tanking and he realized he could get a lot more for the money he spent on the Luhrs, and instead of sucking it up he acted like a child not getting his way. I owned the same boat for 4 years and ran it every winter to florida from new jersey, nothing this guy says is true. Luhrs covered any issues that I had under warranty. It wasnt the best riding sea boat but it did perform as a production boat does.

I bought a '41 Luhrs from a broker in New Jersey with more problems then my ex-wife!! I am angry! The sales representative lied about everything! "My Sanity" lists, bow steers, the AC does not work, the holding tank leaks, you name it the list goes on! I am going to sue everybody involved! .....Just kidding!!! What a great summer read, this thread will not go silently into the night....

20% down on a 50k POS is not much dude. Think my dogs have that covered in vet bills. Sure the new price is more but all the positive talke about your wonderful yacht really dumps the price. Maybe 50k is too high.. maybe its more like 25k. 90% of the people on here could pay the downstroke on 25k hell 100% could eventually, but they would be smart enough not too. Buyer beware is correct... and it sounds like the guy who bought your "POS" as you put it is really in for some big issues.

Have fun

That 'one little thing' made suffering through this thread worth it! Hilarious....
