Default Edgewater center console fuel tank replacement

Found a few old threads with some info but no one posted any results. I have 20yo boat that is leaking fuel from the bottom of the tank. Only way to replace it is to cut it out. I wouldnít mind tackling this job but I donít have the space or time right now to do it myself. Called one shop and they rough quoted at 5k! I laughed because that is def more than the boat is worth. Anyone know any shops in the south Louisiana or Mississippi area that does this kind of work? Most places I call donít seem interested or donít do glass work.

The value of a boat does not dictate the price a the repair.

I replaced the tank on a 2002 Edgewater 225 last year. $4,000 in labor and $1,800 for the tank.

When we did our EW 175cc tank, it was about $2K labor and $700 or so for the tank. Unfortunately, I'm not in your area so can't recommend anyone.

thatís more in line with pricing I was hoping for. Can I ask what tank you used? Did you call Edgewater for an OEM? I plan to order one today.

no mention of which model edgewater you have?
I did one last year and ALL the rigging runs on top of the tank, this was a twin engine boat. turned a simple job into a much more complicated one

Had the 32 gallon tank in a 2001 155cc replaced 2 years ago. About $1400 for labor and miscellaneous and about $400 for the tank as I recall.

I responded to your PM before reading the post for updates. If you shoot me your email in a PM, I have a bunch of photos from another forum member with the same boat as us that did his own tank. It's a good reference on where to cut.
