Makes sense, I believe Power Pole's patent is up or will be soon. I hope PP can survive with these bigger companies making knockoffs, great company with customer service second to none.

Pretty lame unless there is some serious innovation. Power Pole already owns this market and deservedly so. I would have been more excited about a brushless saltwater motor.

Looks like they filed their patent in 1999 so it may be up already.
But let the competition start, will force Power Pole to stay great to their customers and maybe drop prices a little. And if Minn Kota can add some high tech wizardry that actually makes a meaningful impact then it pushes innovation to the benefit of us??

It's so weird to me that they would make another shallow water anchor. This is basically them admitting that the Power Pole is superior to the Talon.

have a friend that had a PP issue, they overnighted him the parts and he was able to use the boat the next day. something like the talon, that is not happening! its just to complicated.

I’m guilty of this with cereal - I buy Fruit Loops for the kids out of pure brainless brand loyalty instead of the Fruity O’s or whatever generic is next to it, even though same exact everything but $1 cheaper.
