Default 26 Regulator Express Value

I've got a 26 Express that I'm thinking about selling. What's a good source to figure out it's value?

Thanks but if that's all it's worth I guess I'll just keep. Besides a fellow can't have to many boats.

k. So your value is above 10k. That's been established. Pics and engine info would help.

It’s a 1994 with twin 2005 etec 225 that run great. New 10,000 pound trailer, never bottom painted, hard top with new strata glass, new icom 506, new Furuno tztouch 2, new Maxwell windlass, new toilet and holding tank and electric overboard pump, new salt water wash down pump, new fresh water pump, new 1/4 not 3/16 aluminum 218 gallon fuel tank, replaced deck, stereo. I like the boat but I may be interested in something a little larger. There are not a lot of comps for 26 Regulator Express. That’s why I was asking where to look.

Last one I saw was listed for $39k. Looked really clean, but was with several brokers and then listed by seller. Not sure if it sold. It was I/O setup.

I would never put all those upgrades into a boat I was going to sell. I should've added "again" to that statement, because I've made that mistake. If that point around $40k is close to a starting point, add up all those things you added new and discount them by 50%, add that to $40k and start there as an asking price and hope for the best. With the exception of brand new engines, anything else you add to a boat, including electronics, you're lucky to get 50% back.

I put the upgrades into the boat thinking I was going to keep it and I may still keep it. Itís not like Iím not enjoying the Reg. I stepped down from a 33 Bertram because I didnít have anybody to go fishing with me and running up and down the fly bridge got old when I ran the boat single handed. Now all my grand kids want to go and the Reg isnít large enough. Iím not sure I want to sell because it may be a temporary thing with all the grand kids wanting to all go fishing at once. It may be a temporary thing because of they are just now getting out because of the covid crisis. Iím in the early stages of looking at larger boats and wondering what I can sell the reg for.

If it's indeed got a single etec 225 on it, I think if you wanted to move it relatively quick, if it's super clean (it's still a 94' hull), 25-30k

With that new trailer and your upgrades 45-50k . Go look what similar boats are going for ( best comp I can find are those Grady 265 Expresses) .You have a Unicorn and there is someone out there that wants it.

Does it have a bracket? or transom mounted OB's. The 26 express I have seen have been IB's or brackets. Regulator brackets all their models now, wondering if the 26 came with standard transom when introduced.
Have a older 23 classic transom mounted F300 I fully restored it and really like it.

My boat came from the factory equipped for outboards on a Armstrong bracket. For some reason the I/O Express boats don't seem as popular as the outboard models. I've only seen the I/O models with singles maybe that's the reason. I like the boat and if my grand kids don't want to all go fishing at once or I can't find an original Bertram 31 Sportfish like it came from the factory, I'm going to keep it.

When you figure out what you want to do let me know. I am looking to change out from my Blackfin to a larger express outboard

Yep. I ask because I didnt know when Regulator started bracketing their boats, so I'm guessing all the express models were bracket boats, unlike the 23 which they converted to a bracket model later on

thanks. Good luck

1997 Regulator Express.
I wouldn't sell mine for $40k.

Let's see some pictures of what you have.
