Default Bennett Trim Tab rocker broke......

Anyone know of fix for this broken rocker switch on this Bennett trim tab ES2000

other than spending $80 on a new switch? Everything works fine except the plastic post broke on one side. Thanks

Amazon Amazon

Is yours by any chance new enough to still be covered under warranty? Even if not, it can't hurt to contact Bennett Marine as the worst that can happen is they say no.

I would contact Bennett and see if they will sell you a rocker, they are good people over there.

This is exactly what I was going to say. They bend over backward to help with their products in my experience.

Prognosis not good. I reached out to Bennett via email and they contacted me the next day.

Basically - there response was:
"Unfortunately only the entire rocker control (Part# ES2000) is sold. This can be ordered through any marine dealer or retailer as we do not sell any of our products directly."

And that was it. I have sent an additional email asking if they can send me just the plastic rocker but havent heard back from them. I miss the days when you could get parts to fix things.

Yamaha bought Bennett and since Tabman has passed, it’s not the same company, still good but that legendary customer service is long gone

Put a wtb ad to see if someone has one that failed they may have stored away. Worth a shot.

I fixed it no thanks to Bennett who has yet to respond to my follow up email.

Take your $80 switch and piss off.

I had a Bennett switch go out on mine. I just wired in 2 Carline switches to perform in the same way. Saved about $60 or so. I did need to adjust the hole a bit but it wasn't that big of an issue. I also keep stock of Carline parts due to my other vehicles so I have spares if needed.
