Drain Plug Valve Switch from Inside the Bilge for Boats on Lifts?
#1

My boat is on a lift. I'd like to be able to drain the bilge. Does anyone make a garboard drain plug with a valve on the INSIDE? Anyone make something like this but with the lever inside the bilge?

I’d use the GEM drain plug if you have some decent access to the plug from the bilge. They’re becoming standard equipment on a lot of the top-tier boat brands.
I’ve seen some bass and ski boats come through our shop or on lifts that have a Flow-Rite remote bilge plug. Knowing how cheap some of their stuff can be, I don’t think I’d have one on my boat. It’s an option though if you have limited access to the plug from the bilge.
