Default Sea star helm pressure

I just rebuilt my sea star helm and as I turn the wheel each way I don't get huge amounts of pressure or suctions where mine hydraulic lines will hook up. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of how much pressure/suction I should be getting out of the helm? Thanks for any help

If there’s no load on it, I would think very low.

they max at about 500 lbs. but with no load you should not feel any back pressure
