Default Yamaha filters

Our F200 got very cantankerous.
We have replaced all filter- Main 10 micron Yamaha separator, Under bonnet, and both VST. Yes, there was very fine particles in both VST. Seems impossible that they got thru 10 microns...

Now, we have completely drained the gas (not able to suck any more at the main filter) .

We plan to put fresh 10+ gallons back(holds 58). Run it and see what happens. We have an extra main Yamaha filter to replace a 2nd time if needed..

I also am thinking of a 2nd gas line filter @ 2 microns to try to catch the small stuff..??

Suggestions????

I've been running 2 micron Racor fuel/water separators instead of Yamaha 10 micron for probably 1200 (out of 1400) hours on mine, all filters in the engine were essentially spotless at 1000 hours when I replaced them. Can't say the 2 micron is the reason for the cleanliness, but it certainly isn't hurting anything.

What F200 are you running, V6 or I4? Can you elaborate on it's running characteristics?

I would drain the tank by removing the sender. This way you can get it completely drained. I second the 2 micro filter. Been running them on several different boats for years and have never had an issue.
