Default 2002 Conch27 Refit

Just acquired a 2002 Edey&Duff Conch27, this hull with be our 2nd Conch and will be added to our charter operation. Hull has original Yamaha 2 strokes so we will be updating them. Refit will include motors, electronics, fiberglass/paint and all new wiring. Very excited to getting it going so I will do my best to post updates.

Looks like it was well taken care of. Please keep us updated with pics. It's always nice to see these refits from start to finish.

our 2005 conch is currently getting repowered with a single 350 verado. However this boat will probably get twin 200 or 225hp.

It's odd seeing a Conch without 85 rod holders, haha. Nice find, looking forward to seeing her completed.

Iíve waited for someone else to ask, but hasnít happened yet. Whatís up with the pumps on the outside of the transom? I have never seen that before. Isnít it easier to just install a pickup thru the hull?

Allows horizontal water pickup above hull bottom when cast netting bait in very shallow water. Uses a bilge pump. Thru hull pickups are usually mounted on lowest part of hull and pull relatively straight up and suck up sand, bait is dead. The light tackle fishery here is primarily a live bait fishery.

Beautiful boat. Can't wait to see the refit. I have a 25 Whitewater with the same shroud set up but my shroud is kind of jacked up. How is yours held onto place? Thanks
