Default 25-28 ft center console question

Looking at a lot of boats in the 25-28 ft range, something with twins. Mostly looking at Sea Hunt, Cape Horn, Cobia, Sportsman, something in that price range. Probably used with low hours, newer than 2015 preferably.

I have a 24 Sea Hunt Gamefish. Looking at these boats it seems most don't have much more room in the back for fishing, but the extra room is all up front which I supposed makes for a better ride but I need a little more room to fish.

Any tips from you guys that fish boats this size as to which one to really look at for a little bit of extra room in the back? I've fished a 27 Cape Horn and really like it so that's sort of my starting point I guess.

the 27 gamefish, without the rear facing mezzanine seat, has a huge cockpit.

I think you are right that you don't really get all that much more room going from a 24 to a 27. Little better ride and little more room but is not like you get 3 more feet of cockpit. Leaning post size and livewell setups play into it too.

also, I believe the 24 gamefish has an 18 degree dead rise. So, in moving to a 27 the ride will be considerably more comfortable.

28' Whitewater, a serious fishing machine and Noman will build it pretty much any way you want it.
Get the flip back leaning post from Birdsall, it will let you fish comfortably at night when you flip the back rest. That combo will give you a tremendous amount of fishing space.
Thanks
Charlie

I have a 26 Jupiter and one of the reasons I got it was a huge cockpit.
