Default 2020 Sea Lion 34TE Build Thread

Our new boat build will be starting soon and we wanted to share with those who are interested.

We wanted to move up to a bigger vessel from our Sea Hunt 30 and after searching we settled on Sea Lion, a new builder, using the old Blackfin molds has modified them and developed their 34' CC. They are a Semi-Custom builder which has allowed us to make a bunch of tweaks to the layout to make it the way we want.

Here are some of the specs and options, we will update along the way with photos and additional options as we decide.

Congrats! There is one docked at an area I fish. Looks very nice and same power. Don’t know anything about them but looking forward to following your build!

Transom Rod Rack is coming from Carolina Aluminum Products and we are also probably going to use them to make some v-lock vertical rod rocks on either side of the coffin box.

Adding a Nite Track night vision camera system to the boat. Cheaper than FLIR and better image. Very excited about this for our early morning runs.

It will display on one of the Simrad 16" screen.

We went with a custom transom that’s solid. Between the two live wells will be this custom insulated box. Dual purpose, primarily it will hold bait trays for prerigged baits, making it easy to pitch baits to billfish and have all your rigged baits at easy access on the transom. Secondly it’s an insulated fish box, 30”x12” so it will be able to hold plenty of smaller fish for the days when we are trout fishing or sea bass fishing etc. and don’t feel like filling a floor box with ice.

Im sure it’ll do a good job of keeping the drinks cold on sandbar days as well.

Optional twin 80 gallon saddles.

However with the twin zuke 350 performance bulletin we didn’t feel like we needed to add them. They don’t eliminate any useable space which is nice.

My guess is this build with the tower will be slightly less efficient but still have a 500 mileish range.
