Default Going to visit the huge boat scrapyard on Saturday 1/4. Anyone need anything?

Checker Marine is a huge boat scrapyard about 40 miles from my house. If anyone needs something let me know and I will see what I can find. They have 500+ boats and I have purchased boat glass, a cabin door and misc hardware for other THT members in the past. They have hundreds of used outdrives all makes, props, seating, etc. I can take pictures of anything anyone may be looking for and find out what they cost.

Right now I need to find the glass for a Thompson hardtop, a drop in stove for a SeaRay, and a windshield for a Cobalt boat. I love wandering around the place. Just let me know and I will look for it.

Found out they are closed until after the first of the year so the date will be 1/4 weather permitting.

Wow, your like a grown-up version of Santa Claus. I don't need anything, just wanted to let you know your stand up guy. It sounds to me like you absolutely love going to the big boy toy store, that is nice for you to reach out to the team to see if anybody needs anything before going.

No problem. What is 2.0? Is that like an updated version from 1.0?

I posted a bunch of pictures the last time I was there but I can’t find the post in a search.

The place is really cool to walk around, are usually spend a couple of hours just wandering around. It’s great because you can see the construction on many of the bolts that are wrecked and you can see how they were built.

I need a gas cap like this one. It's got 2" threads

. If you dont mind looking for one while you are there I would make it worth your time. I would actually take a few that way I could have a spare if I lose another.

I can get you in touch with a guy in Nashville the messes with exactly what you are looking for. He buys them goes through them with a fine tooth comb and resells.

Did you call to see if they're going to be open?? Their ebay store page says "We will be out of the office from 12/24/2019 through 01/03/2020 All emails and other transactions will be postponed until 01/03/2020." That might just apply to online sales though.
