Default New To Me 2011 Pursuit C 280: Reel Decision

Bought this baby for running out to FI for dinners during the week (a lot faster and more efficient than the mothership) and to play hooky during the weekday mornings to do some fishing now that I live right on the GSB.

I guess I am going to have to invest in some new fishing equipment since I haven't fished on my own boat in 13-14 years.

Spring can't come soon enough...when does flounder season open?

Jeff

Beautiful boat, good luck with her. Don't waste your time with GSB early flounder, starts late March but not much to speak of until late April into May. I just bought a place on Awixa creek down Saxon, moving in early January.

Ah...only about 8 miles east congrats.

We just moved from the north shore (Woodbury) to Lindenhurst (why...because this is where I keep my boat of course) and we love it. There so many places to go out between Massapequa and Bayshore.
The view doesn't suck either:

Thanks for the advice. It's been a while but I do have vague recollections of sitting out at 4 Corners in Seaford on St Paddys day drowning some worms and freezing my hands off for no good reason.

Default FI

Lots of nice places to hang out in the Bayshore marina, east Islip marina and the river for happy hour and dinner. I will keep an eye out for your boat this summer. Let’s hope the winter goes by quickly.

Great looking Pursuit! I'm looking at a 280 Sport that looks very similar! Any interior pics?
Are the engines the Yam 250's?
Congrats!
