Default Winter outboard sales events: Evinrude: 7 yr. warranty + $2K rebate

Evinrude put out their 2019/2020 winter sales event in the link below.

Have not seen anything from Suzuki, Yamaha or Mercury yet. The deals are usually pretty good.

The fine print at the bottom, because this is what the event does and does not include, and is where the rubber meets the road:

Are you going to post the complete fine print of Yamaha's, Merc's, and Suzuki's promotional programs too?

Read the fine print? We don't need to read no stinkin' fine print.

Hell, most won't read the big print. Or any print.

They will just ASSume that if anything ever goes wrong someone else will be fixing it for them free of charge.

Applicable to all brands.

This seems to indicate that the outboard engine business is cooling down.
I'd assume we'll see some competition from Suzuki and Yamaha as well.

Huh? You must live out in the sticks somewhere away from the real world, as several outboard manufacturers are working second shifts just to keep up with demand for their product.

I'm surprised the new 3 cylinder Etec's aren't part of the Evinrude rebate.

The Etec thread zombies and brand bashers have made their presence known, as they always do.
This thread is about the current and coming sales events. The Evinrude Outboard sales event is linked in the first post.
7 year warranty, and $2k (in some cases) is pretty good. If someone is in the market, this may be of interest to them.

No extra cost to the customer promotions are always about trying to get sales up. No other reason in the world for a company to offer them.

Seems similar to what they offered last year. I got a ‘free’ SS prop also from a boat show only promotion last year.

A third shift might be impressive. Adding new production capacity would be much more impressive.

$2,000 rebates are for generating sales, plain and simple.

The offer excludes the 3 cylinder and they use the 3 cylinder in the promotional image?
