Default Stereo

Need a new head unit.... Wet Sounds/Fusion or just get XM connected to my Simrad GO9 and control it from there ... assuming it does that ?

Whats says the THT braintrust ...

Funny, I just bought Fusion head unit and speaker this past weekend....stuff is not cheap...need to finish the install.....

I am happy with my Fusion and I like that I can keep it down below and control it from my plotter.

I bought Fusion for my rental boats. Very easy to use and good sound. My charter boat has clarion and if I have to replace it it will be with a fusion due to ease of use with the bluetooth.

But BTW I am asking if I should just use the Simrad alone ... I already know what head units are out there ...

your simrad likely cannot power speakers... so you will need a head unit or amp....

The simrad interface is nice to have, but it isn't great. Much easier to turn a dial. I run SImrad NSS Evo 3, and one of the newer Fusions. ( I forget which one)..

What I use and have used for many years and a few different boats is a blue tooth dongle connected to my amp and all my music is Bluetooth through my phone. Simple no holes other then to mount the amp. I’m pretty anal about good crisp sound. If you buy good speakers, wires, and amp it will be all good. Best of luck on smaller boats simplicity is key.

I have a fusion controlled through a nema 2000 network to my Evo 2. Works great since my stereo is in the cabin.

I love the Jl Media Master 50. Easy to use, can change sub's with a press up a button. I have had no issues with the unit.

I have the sonichub and use the Go9 as the controller. Not very thrilled with it. It is probably due to a large lack of technical knowledge on by part, but it always seems to have a problem with either XM or just bluetooth through the phone. Not necessarily what you are asking about, but throwing it out there if you were looking for ways to save dash space, which I was.

I have the Fusion "puck" thing with the amp... I can control from my phone or from NMEA2000... four speakers, and I love it... and not expensive.

Although, I'm not in love with Fusion now that Garmin owns them... but still...

As to OP question, I love my Fusion. I like that I can also get channels VHF too.

You can listen to VHF channels through your Fusion stereo? Wasn’t aware that was a feature. Kinda cool actually.
