Default Worth robbing this outdrive from junk boat?

This boat is abandoned at the side of a bayou. Isn't this a volvo outdrive? Maybe the parts are worth enough that I should pull it?

how likely are you to get your ass eaten by an alligator during the heist?

honestly if it had any value someone would have grabbed it by now I would think. It looks like the rest has already been stripped. and with a 50% chance of ass eating, I'd pass.

If that's a 222 Aquasport, they want $10k on Craigslist in that condition.

hahaha, i see so many abandoned boats that I want to rebuild. I'm in the Houston area and my buddy and I are always exploring remote areas on jet skis, and we come across a lot of junk boats.

The boat is still there. I took some more photos. It's a volvo 280 outdrive. Couldn't I just cut off these studs/nuts (circled in red) and pull the outdrive out?

I did some reading on separating the outdrive from the motor, and it looks like a pain. I bet it's seized on the splines anyways. ;

Looks like if you get pissed and throw your wrench, there ain't no shop wall to stop it and ya ain't getting it back. The amount of times you say"son of a b!tch" on that would entertainment at its finest. I foresee a lost 10mm too.

Those of us boating in fresh water are always amazed at the level of corrosion you get in salt water.
