Darn it. message got deleted. So anyway

We installed a Hard-Top and full enclosure to make living aboard a bit more comfy. We love it! But when the sun gets hot on one side, we have been draping a canvas tarp over the side and clamping to the top. Kinda hokey, but it works.
It is time to upgrade to mesh material custom cut for each window. I see several types of mesh in several colors. Maybe black does a better job? anybody know? What material do u use and how do u fasten it?
Any input is much appreciated!

I have no experience but I would think a lighter color or even a silver reflective color would be best.

The silver reflective is not an option in the mesh materials. Just black, and some pastels like sand, almond, lite grey, etc.

I have one of these in white mesh. It was made so it can snap in place on either side. I helps a lot and being white does not get hot. I can still see through it, not well but I can still see thru it enough.. Mine uses the same mount points / C track for the eisenglass (which I never use).

The material is a white plastic feeling heavy screen material. I dont know what it is called but it looks like Phifertex

You are looking for Phifertex:

Any good canvas shop will know all about it and able to make up your screens.

I have it on our Hatteras 58, arround the salon windows and the front, and it helps a lot, it keeps the heat and glare out but you still can look through it with out giving you a cavernous feel. By the way, they are black..

I have them on the west side of my house. they adhere to my sliding doors with suction cups. what a relief....
