Default Dorian's 2nd beached YACHT...."Boat beached, what say you" round 2

It seems as though a second boat YACHT has been found in hurricane Dorian's wake. Hopefully this one has as good of a back story as the first one...

"Thanks for the dingy...This is not boat abandoned"

Please stop slandering this mighty, knowledgeable Silverton Yacht captain this instant! I know of him personally and he is a righteous individual that lives in a mansion down the street from me and had to beach his Yacht for the safety of his constituents. Any further conversation on this matter and i will have my attorney sue every one of you murdering rapists on this forum! Requests for pictures of my wife / chef will not be answered...

Appears to be of the Silverton variety.

Captain Joe what say you about your yacht?

Its been there for months. I pass it every time we are headed south to Ft George. It was on the east bank before Dorian, it must have moved to the west bank during the storm

Are abandoning boats common down on the southern east coast? I’ve never seen or heard of such a thing on the Great Lakes.....then again we don’t have hurricanes

I remember as a kid when those 34C Silvertons were new and every marina had at least 4 of them. Now they are in the $10k and under range on Craigslist and/or abandonded on the side of the channels. I'm getting old...

yes and they swung a million miles an hour on their moorings. Driving a yacht club launch I’d have to sit there, wait, wait, wait to time my landing

Head up to New England/northeast and they are still all over the place. Anything under $10k is going to be ragged out junk. I sold my 1984 for well north of $10k within a week or so, in the winter.

I'm in CT and yes, they are a little rough, but there are 3 in NE for under 10k at the moment just on CL alone. I looked at a 1992 newer model this summer for 13k and it was in decent shape. They are on the verge of being very very affordable although there are still several in the 25k range as well, but most of those have been repowered/updated. I'm actually in the market for one this spring so I've been looking.
