Default new mercury 150

are the new mercury 150hp available?
what is the advantage of the pro 150 over the regular 150? I see the larger gear box what does that mean. I need more speed at 4500rps I going from df140 suzuki to the mercy

I put on on my 19 Maycraft - so far it seems like a good fit. I got rid of a 135 Opti. that was a pain and so far I am loving it. Dealer only had one when I got it.

I think I would like the gearing on the Pro XS should turn a higher pitch prop for a little more speed it guess. But I’m very happy with the base 150.

It depends on which “pro” you’re referring to. SeaPro or Pro XS?

The 150 ProXS will offer a few more top end RPM (200-300), a slightly taller gear ratio, dual water pickups, stiffer motor mounts, and a few other very slight differences that I’m sure I’m forgetting. It was designed for the single engine bass and bay boat market where acceleration and top end performance are extremely important along with the ability to run it at a higher X dimension with a jackplate.

150 HP and below are readily available. Anything above that is tough to get.
