I use BoatUS, can’t help beyond that. Shopping is the best thing to do my friend. Different areas may be a deciding factor as well.

I just combined mine with my geico auto policy (BoatUS)- a pretty simple affair.

AAron Rogers says you must bundle to save, so I wrap my insurance policy in a blanket and duct tape it so it's bundled nice and tight....

I use Progressive through USAA. I just renewed and it was $520 for a 2016 NauticStar 224XTS with hardtop. (insurance value 63K) Also depends on values and deductibles.

What you might run into is having an older haul with now new motors. It might make it harder getting a stated value policy on an older hull even though the motors are new. I would call a company like Charter Lakes that can shop your needs. I'm a captive agent and we are not always set up to handle unique situations like yours.

I have had BoatUS for a couple of years now with a stated value policy and when I repowered my '98 hull with new engines, they had no problem.

I have the exact situation 96 hull & 2017 zukes (200s)
boat us/Geico will insure you for what you paid. As long as you can provide them receipts they will cover you for that amount. I am prob a bit underinsured considering how hot the used boat market is, but it’s ok.

Charter Lakes has no sources for hurricane coverage here in S Fl. Boat Us offered Hurricane and Bahamas coverage for about the same price that Charter Lakes did without Hurricane coverage.
Progressive was double the amount for the same coverage as Boat US.

I have also used Progressive but thru a marine insurance dealer. RV is also Progressive thru USAA. They give me full agree value on both boats. I have only had a claim on a trailer which broke down, and an outdrive damaged by hitting a piece of submerged hurricane debris. In both cases they were great to work with, and paid more than I expected. I also had an RV claim this year--a illegal Nigerian without insurance or a license, hit my vehicle. They paid as much as I would expect and went after the illegal (who I suspect had disappeared.)

Be sure and compare equal insurance policies when comparing carriers. Know what they will pay, and what for.

I went with progressive they beat charter and boat us one by $200 than the other by $250. And didn't want my ss# and did ask alot a question about boating schools and how many years I've been driving a boat or what sizes were my other boats.
