I currently own a 27' Everglades. I love it, but I' am considering an upgrade. Primary use for the boat is family Sundays at the beach, but I still want it to perform well when I am out in the Gulf fishing.

Right now the boat to beat is the Everglades 335cc. I love the brand and the way it drives. I also really like the mix of creature comforts and fishability.

I have looked at:

Regulator - Too expensive
Contender - Not comfortable enough for the wife
Yellowfin - Not comfortable enough for the wife
Jupiter - Don't know enough, look nice.
SeaVee - Probably my 2nd choice. Between wait time for a build and my wife feeling like it was too fishing focused.
Whaler - Possible 2nd choice.
Grady - Just can't get excited about it
Invincible - Just didn't do it for me.
Axopar 37 - Love the boat. Just concerned about resale.

I am really intrigued by the Mag Bay 33' and the new Valhalla Boatworks (Viking) 33' I haven't seen them in person, so looking to do that this year during the boat shows.

I love the research process! It's almost as fun as getting the boat & I have a great one we still use every weekend, so I am in no rush.

What else should I be looking at.

Jail time... because the only way I could afford that is from doing something illegal.

A buddy has a 344 Cobia, it’s a great cruising boat that he uses to fish, I don’t think it’s a hard core fishing machine, but it’s a nice boat. They changed the name to 350 for 2020, but it’s the same boat.

Like you, I have a 2018 Everglades 273 but I am always looking.

If you are looking at the Everglades 335 make sure you are looking at one with 425's on it because its not a great boat with 300's on it, it cannot get out of its own way. It sits sort of weird in the water as well. The 335 with 425's well that's a different animal- runs awesome, I've had one to 54 MPH so its got some speed for what it is.

Other brands- I agree with you on your comments for the most part.

I would look at Southport as well.

Highly recommend adding Seahunter to your list. We looked at majority of boats you listed and ended up buying a Seahunter. Ride was amazing in rough conditions and that wide beam makes for a ton of room. Plus Seahunters customer service is top notch.
