Default Custom bayboat?

So I often find myself looking at old/neglected boats while driving around. The thought of cutting down hull side and making a new cap into a bayboat style has always interested me. Anyone know of a similar build thread on here like this? I've searched, but haven't found any. I can't possibly be the only one that has this thought. Luckily my wallet and desire of endless itching from fiberglass has kept me from dragging some bad idea home.

R&R Boatworks (Conch) did that for a little while. They took old Seacrafts and cut down the the hull sides with a new cap. There are a couple threads on here about it:

23 seacraft to 25 conch bayboat

SeaCraft to Conch Transformation

2011 20' Conch/Seacraft
