Default Cabo 40 Express Nav Light

I need to replace the green LED nav light on my 2007 Cabo 40 Express hard top. It recesses into the corner contoured hard top and is approximately 12 3/4” long x 1” thick x 1 1/4” deep. Does anyone know of a source?

I don't have a source, but I would call Mag Bay and ask them. I think they own the rights to Cabo now. I am sure someone will correct me if that is not the case.

I do know for certain that some of the 40s and 43s used 24 volt lights and others used 12 volt lights. We had a time on our 43 Fly getting bulbs replaced correctly as some of them had no markings at all. It got to the point where I had a file box organized by what bulb went where and the correct part numbers. I believe that nonsense got sorted out in either the 2007 or 08 model years. Our 43 was a January 07 boat.

also to what the other poster said, posting up a picture could help. have you taken it apart to see who manufactured it? also, what is wrong with it that it needs replacement?

You can call Sam's Marine in south Fl they should be able to help. They handle most Cabo accessory parts. 954-585-8933

definitely 24v led light. Been trying to post a pic but the site won’t let me. No mfg or brand on the light assy.
Also it doesn’t come apart, the led strip was inserted into a groove and filled with epoxy resin. The wires corroded where they enter the light and is not repairable.

I have been working with them all day. They have never seen this light before. I thought I had it tracked down to a DRSA light but Sam’s Marine called them and they said nope, not their light.

You could also upgrade them. Have are filled in or be creative. Go with a nice lopolight fixture.

We never did the nav lights in the towers on the express boats. Best bet would be to contact the tower manufacturer as they would be the ones that supplied the light. If you're on the East Coast it was most likely Pipewelders or J&J Towers.

These lights were used by hardtop/tower builders. Hatteras/Cabo has no connection or knowledge of these lights. I replaced mine and sourced led light from the hardtop builder for my Cabo when it was delivered new. First step is figure who delivering dealer was and what company installed your hard top.

Thanks PSW. I’ll go through my boat’s documents and see if I can track down the hardtop mfg.

PSW,
Can you tell me who your hardtop mfg was? It looks very similar to mine on a 2007 40 Express.
Thanks,

My boat was ordered new through South Jersey Yachts Sales. They used a fabricator in NJ for my top. The company name changed in like 2009. It is now Oceanview Marine Welding. If your boat was sold out of NJ there is a good chance it was done by them. If it was sold in FL most likely Pipewelders in Lauderdale.

Best of luck.

Thanks Enalios. I called Seamless Marine and texted them a pic of the light and they are checking to see if it is one of theirs. Much appreciated.
