why? Is it new boats that are going down and being lost? The market will be flooded with plb and epirbs now. When the boys from Jupiter went down guys said they were just kids. These guys are grown ass men. WM by my work had a sign in the door no plb epirbs or flares in store.

just a thought not sure how plausible it is!

lets say they did end up close to or in the stream, if the boat did capsize and the anchor fell out and hung the bottom would the current then start trying to pull the boat under even if the boat has foam in it? current even though its only moving 4-6mph can have some serious power!

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but it has been a lot of irrational thoughts and comments on here today. I can assure you the USCG has covered all bases and done EVERYTHING possible. A lot of people are still hanging on to hope but hope is dwindling to be blunt. It has been 6 days and nothing has been found but a lone gear bag. Godspeed fellas

Sorry, have not been able to listen in, all I hear is static.. and cannot find the best up to date info.

You say a pilot spotted them?

Wish I was there, I'd be on my boat too.

No way you are going to hang an anchor that far out unless you are a commercial vessel set up for that

I guarantee they didn't have that much anchor rode onboard.

This. ^^^^ Well said suzukidave. I will continue to pray and hope. That's all any of us can do now unless you are actively involved in a private search.

i followed that story for quite some time, and i do not recall anyone ever seeing anyone on the boat after it left shore. to my knowledge, no one was seen when the boat was found and marked by the coast guard in georgia.

I work in Salem Mass and at Halloween all the "psychics" are out peddling their crap and reading hands for $20. I walked by one in the little mall and she was standing in the doorway of an empty room with tables and Crystal balls set up.
I asked her why she came to work if she could foresee no business. She spit at me.
