The Coast Guard in no way would take any input from a psychic. This could potentially derail the search.

The only thing that will sink a foam filled boat is fire and one would think a burning boat would have been noticed in SFL on a Friday at a popular reef area.. this boat will be found.. they will be on it..

does Coast Guard have access to satellites for these type of SAR cases? I would think if we can locate taliban in the mountains, finding a white boat in a blue backdrop would be all too easy..

Wow, you rarely see anyone go this far out of their way to be a turd. You really think this is the thread for you to try and show off how classless you can be? Prayers for the families who are praying for the return of husbands and fathers.

It's a big, big, big blue backdrop with a (comparatively) tiny little white boat, that's moving.

GEEZ!! How am I being a turd? I suggested a psychic and a couple people told me it was silly. Yell at them instead.

You have to know where to point something to get a look at it. Look up at an average commercial airplane in the sky and consider how small it looks from an average of 6 miles from the ground. Now shrink the plane down to 20-30ft in length, and add thousands of square miles of sky around it. Get my point? And those satellites are higher up looking at finite points pre-programmed.

I have ZERO doubt having been a US Marine myself that the BEST professionals with the BEST equipment on earth are doing everything they can to try to bring a positive resolution about. I am going to continue to think that, because I trust their proven abilities given the best opportunities at hand.

A little faith and prayer ain't gonna hurt neither...

Not to be the one to relay bad news, but USCG is suspending the search at sundown.
My prayers are still hoping that someone finds them.

Agree but that was a couple of 14 year olds compared to grown men, both of which are fire fighters and one a Navy vet with specific survival training.

Oh dear Lord..
We ASK for your Blessings..
For a Hedge of Protection in Finding these Fishermen..
Upon that boat..
From Stem to Stern, from Starboard to Port..
PLEASE Help Us navigate into Unfamiliar waters.
Searching for these Lost Souls..
Protect them from the unseen Dangers, that they encountered..
We ASK, Oh Dear Lord, PLEASE, Help protect them, until WE Find them..
They in uncharted Waters, Dear Lord..
A Speck, upon a vast Sea..
Bless them, Oh Dear Lord, So that they can be found..
In God almighties name..
AMEN

It it could be worst case scenario - the boat sank even though it’s not supposed to and there was no time or access to put on life jackets. That boat wasn’t big enough to have much floating debris or items to hang on to for 6 days. Very sad situation regardless.

Obviously if the boat is/was upright after Friday night I think they would be able to survive 6 days but this search has been so extensive that I’m doubting that scenario happened. Hoping for a miracle.

the pilot that saw Austin and Perry’s boat off Georgia said someone was on the hull and raised his hands at them. So there is hope

I would rather manufacturers just make an EPIRB/ PLB a checked option on a new build. I would guess that the vast majority of boats sold in the US have 0 use for either. Just as lots of boats have no need for radar, FLIR, etc etc. then those who need/ want can order it and those boating on inland lakes/ ICW can forgo it.

i will remain hopeful they are found but i think a pause is in order here from the keyboards in this thread at dusk unless and until there is new information. there will be no search to follow and no upside to where this thread will go without an active search to ground it. folks with theories should start another thread out of respect for the family member who started this one.

for now, my thoughts are with the families. i would not want to say or do anything to interfere with them holding on to hope for as long as they can.
