Obviously something happened before the camera started rolling but what was it.
I'll bet they don't show where they almost sank the red boat's driver. Sure did something to piss him off. There were no reports of him going after anyone else.
Now because he had a beer on his boat he's going to jail while the real perp gets off.
Now watch at the brain trust tries to make this seem right.
Anyone who's been in a small boat anywhere near larger boats knows exactly how this started.

So you are saying that the big boat did something to deserve getting rammed?

What about any of that would be justifiable other than the occupants of the larger boat kidnapping his child or some other criminality that would require deadly force? He rammed a boat into another boat, quite obvious intentionally, any reasonable person would assume that his actions could lead to grievous injury or death.

Big boat wake little boat. Little man drunk and then snapped “I’m tired of big boats waking me!”
Little boat ram big boat the flip off.
little boats cooler tip over during ramming so need to be uprighted because beer rolling around in bilge. This cannot happen.

Sorry, there is no way to justify that dude’s actions. I don’t care what happened, you never chase after anyone and attack them. That guy has anger issues and I’m sure he was drinking. Even if the big boat did something it certainly didn’t justify being rammed.

Regardless of what happened, this is not acceptable. You don't ram another boat because they rocked you if that is even what happened. This is just a drunk guy showing poor judgment.

I highly doubt this guy did this for no reason. Everyone here knows what is the likely cause (Big boat nearly sunk him with a wake) and it happens a lot. No justification for running your boat up the backside of another but I’ve seen enough people waked that I can see why he got pissed off at least. I’ll never forget a situation that happened between two large boats exiting the pier at Oneida Lake in NY. With no regard for small craft boaters, a 40 ft cabin cruiser blasted throttle early while leaving the area, he saw a few middle fingers! There was a 2nd craft behind the cabin cruiser that was in the 80-100 ft range and did not open throttle till all in area were safe. The large craft then blasted throttles and the enormous wake generated rocked the cabin cruiser so hard I thought it might actually tip over. The female up on the upper bridge nearly fell out down to the deck. I’m not sure, but I believe the ahole in the Cabin cruiser learned a little lesson that day and I don’t think it was an accident that the large craft gave him some of his own as the captain of the large craft would have been in clear sight of the Cabin Cruisers neglect on the small craft boaters.

Sad time were living in. Theft crimes not investigated, people HAVING to take the law in to their own hands, unfair laws. It’s getting crazier by the day it seems.
Sad to say but without violence nothing changes. We lived that way years and years ago.
Human decentcy is about gone. Respect is about gone. Only getting worse.

I started a post about the high water in the area having local people on edge.To the point that some advocate taking actions against boaters they think are making too much wake and causing damage. Add alcohol to the issue and you get this crap. Probably not the last incident like this to happen around here.

The rest of the story:
The little red boat guy’s wife had been kidnapped and was being held below deck on the big boat. She hadn’t had food or water for 3 days, time was running out. The woman taking the video is an Islamic terrorist and sex trafficker, wanted in several countries. Little red boat guy was just desperately trying to save the life of the woman he loves. He had nothing to save her with, except his little red boat. He came so close...
Since we’re making shit up...

I think you have it wrong. His daughter was kidnapped by a bunch of Eastern Europeans and he has a very particular set of skills; skills He has acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for people in big boats. If they let his daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. But they chose to keep her and got rammed instead.
