I think hes more just a pragmatic guy vs a brand guy.... although one could argue the pragmatism of a 55 center console

Were no 627's available? Maybe once she is complete and this was just some testing.

Unfortunately the merc 450’s are not available with a 35” shaft yet. Until they are it’s not an option for this boat.

I think it's funny how it says it will run 60 miles an hour in the ocean not specifying what kind of ocean. That kind of general statement really means absolutely nothing.

They add lots of water/lead to simulate some weight.

I spoke with a Freeman 37 owner with 7's . They wanted to try changing the rotation and 7 told them to switch LU's which blew both LU's . He said service was excellent and had new one's within a day or 2 though not sure if I'd want to trust them for the far running hardcore day to day fishing grind . Seems to be a go fast sandbar crowd engine .

surely merc have some mods available. I have seen Yamaha 90s with a 50” shafts.
