Default Stolen Bluewater CC “War Horse” Found

Stolen from Bay Waveland Yacht Club, St. Louis, MS. Stripped and torched in a Louisiana bayou. Not a pretty sight.
Not one LEO became suspicious. And there was a BOLO.

After

Thought is was stolen from Bay St. Louis Mississippi? Also, it is a shame about it being stolen and burned, but what exactly should have raised suspicion of a LEO? They see large CC boats being towed on the highways and run in the water all the time?

^ Yea, this. It's nothing to see 30-40 ft somethings with triple or quads on the transom wizzing up, down, and across the interstates all the time.

The locations and the burning are outside the usual pattern of SFL boat theft. Long ass way to drag it for a bogus insurance claim. Just odd all around.

sounds like the war horse was there on a fishing trip, some locals snagged and tripped her before burning to the ground! wouldn't be smart to steal from someone that lives in your same neighborhood!

What a shame ....takes a lot of paid premiums to write the check for that Agreed Value.....and those losses effect future premiums for all...

I hope they’ve already cut you your check and you’re well on your way to being back out on the water if you’re not there already.

10 or so years ago an insurance scam involving several BIG cigarette boats was resolved. "Card Shark", a 43 Nortech was the primary boat in figuring out where the boats went......after being stripped they used a wood chipper to destroy the boats into piles of rubble that ended up in landfills.

That is a boat that should have stood out like a sore thumb for anyone looking for it. Obviously nobody was looking for it. Stolen boat with a close to million dollar price tag should have someone getting law enforcement attention..

Stories wrong, boat was stolen off a lift in bay St. Louis harbor, ran to marsh and stripped. The owner is a customer of ours and not in need of an insurance scam, his son is also a charter fishermen with Mexican gulf. This boat was immaculate and a loss for sure!

Why burn it? Seems like it just attracts attention...erase fingerprints? Hope they catch the thieves and string them up....

I'm still not sure how LE is getting the blame for not stopping this boat. Hundreds of CC's on trailers run up and down the highways all day and night on the gulf coast. Unless there was as BOLO issued for this specific boat, its kind of hard to blame the cops on this one. If they stopped every CC going down I-10 y'all would be complaining that the troopers are harassing honest boaters just trying to get to their tournament. Sorry for the loss of an amazing boat, but the blame lies with the crooks who stole her.
