Default 200 HP Ocean Pro help

Its a 1998 by Evinrude!

Was flushing it via freshwater/hose when all the sudden the pee stream went week, alarm under the console went off and the weak pee stream seemed boiling hot!

The pisser isn't clogged! Do you think the impeller needs to be changed? If so, is there an impeller replacement kit for this purpose? I've never replaced one before!

Thanks in advance...

It could have just been that the water pressure in your garden hose was too low. I've had the same thing happen before. It's peeing... but not getting enough water to cool efficiently.

It's also good practice to replace those impellers every 1-2 years.

were you using the muffs on the lower unit? they have to be on there real good to get a good flow to the impeller so it can properly circulate the water. my ocean pro's will do the same if my muffs arent on good.

If your using the flush port on the rear of the engine (which it doesnt sound like you are) then im no help there, i dont flush mine with it running until i pull the boat in the winter

Same hose I've used that past several flushes however I'll double check the pressure. Impeller was replaced last summer so I probably should be talking a good look at that...

Yes, I'm using the muffs. I wasn't aware of the flush port.
