actually I would say you’re smart. Look at your dollar per hour running the same power plant for 27 years. Exclude fuel of course on that guzzler.

I just get so jelly on those people who turn the key and vroom....where I crank and crank....push primer in...crank and crank....people are looking at me with disgust...then vrooom and big puff of white smoke...and more disgusted looks LOL and I'm off....funny thing...since buying seatow in 1993, I've never been towed back since (knock on wood). I've been through SEVERAL regulators, a few powerpacks, a couple of stators, and second timer base...surprisingly only second starter.

If the gas flow meter is right I'm averaging 3 mpg at cruise....it's light boat.....sorry we digress

No, early on you follow your Dad's lead.
Than you dance with the one that brung ya !
Plus a small town and a really good dealer that your father purchased from that is now is on the 4th owner with great service.
The Yamaha was on a used boat that was purchased and change after a few little problems. Getting lined up to retire !

admirable, my history until about 2000 was all Jrude, then started to defect and expanded into more brands. My worst experience was probably the mercury 50 hp but could be to lack of use.
