Default Cummins 6bta 280hp upgrade to 330hp

Looking to upgrade my Carolina Classic 28. Currently has twin 280hp 6bta and looking to get 330hp out of them. I am assuming it would be injectors and timing. Any1 ever upgrade these in this power range?
build date 2-2000
CPL # CPL1975
fuel pump calibration G989

That 50 hp each might be tricky. Intercoolers , turbos, injectors, injector pump, heat exchanger, shafts , exhaust, props are all possible In need of upgrade. The CU/In might stay the same but it’s everything else that makes to hp and keeps the temp down.

yes I do. From what I have read the 280hp models were originally rated for 300 or 330hp but I am not sure how true that actually is

If it is The fuel plate controls the maximum fuel output of the P7100, and the stock unit is conservative . While there is no shortage of aftermarket fuel plate options (along with plenty of custom-made, one-off versions), removing the fuel plate completely will yield more rack travel and considerable power gains (typically 35 to 40 hp). The factory injectors, a full-forward AFC housing, turned star wheel, no fuel plate and an untouched stock turbocharger, 85 to 100 hp can be made.

I did some checking and I was incorrect , I was thinking of the 270B . They did make a 280 HP CPL 1915 . This is a medium duty vs the 330B that is a high output . Check the injector numbers and if the same , have the injection pumps redone to 330B specs and you should be good .
