Yes, the old boat will still be owned by Nick but he will be letting another Capt. run it for him.

he originally was planning on selling the old one. had it listed for a short time, but just announced this week that he was going to keep it. I believe he mentioned somewhere along the way that the repower was to help the sale.

His Instagram is incredible, dude catches allot of fish and big crazy ones at that. In the past few months he had the big sword, a giant Mako that was eating a dead sword that he baited caught the released and last week he got a giant tuna.

I'd say 80% of the offshore charter guys in Islamorada run yamaha. The backcountry guides are a mix of merc and yam. I know a few offshore capts who went merc verados but said never again. I do know that it is much easier to get local support/parts for yamaha. They are also likely on the yamaha guide program for discounts.

Someone should let the Mexican Gulf guys know this. At least 75% of their Freeman fleet (I think they’re up to 8 boats now) have been swapped over to the dark side and the captains are very happy about their decision. The last one they sold (2017 37vh) to one of our customers had 1800 trouble-free hours on quad Verado 400Rs in just over 1 calendar year.

How do you take out a charter and tell them, especially a lady, that they have to use a bucket to whizz. (or worse)
