Default Backrest insert

Anyone have any ideas where I can get a pair of these? I have torn the interwebs up but can’t seem to find the manufacturer. I want to add a removable backrest for my transom seat.

I searched high and low for that hardware myself to no avail. I think Sea Born boats uses it, so maybe they'd know where to get it. I haven't looked into it in quite a while.

Do you have dimensions on these? Also, where can one get the blade part that mounts on the seat back to insert into these.

Commocean,

We do not typically supply the blades, these are mostly provided / built at an OEM level. Design heights for the seat-backs change, some builders bend them aft, and material grades vary. As such, we only supply the lower receiver unless we have specific design specs.

Hope this helps.

Collins Boating in Smithfield, NC has installed them on their Blackjacks before.

Also, Sea Ox as well. Might be worth a phone call if you're in need of the backrest/male piece.

Looks like the blade is just a piece of stainless flat stock. Any local welder can bend that to any shape you want.

BayFun:
They do not come with backing plates. Backers can and could be fabricated fairly quickly, but our OEM customers do not use them.

Hope this helps

What size is the receiver slot?
I found this material from Eastern metal supply.
This looks like what boat builders use.

Spoke with Dean today, Birdsall has them in stainless eventhough they are not listed on the website. The flush mounts are 4 1/2" x 2" by 6 1/4" deep. With 15" inch arms they are $280 and 19" arms they are $295 (no backrests on either).
