A trolling motor still fits on the bow. It mounts next to the anchor locker in the same place as my 28 pure hybrid. I does look a bit different, but I’m told it work in person. I am anxiously waiting to see one and I will make a decision at that point. The added room behind the leaning post and in the bow would be a huge plus for me as I spend as much time offshore as the weather allows.

Im currently looking at an avenger av26 with Suzuki 350, Triton 260lts with 350 Merc verado, and sea hunt bx25 br with Yamaha 300. Are there anything negative experiences with any of these boats or any other boats I should consider? Thanks for your help.
open your mind to the catamaran world especially if you value your back in the long run. Lots of great bay hybrid options in the cat.

I almost went that way. I really wanted to try a catamaran this time, but couldn’t get it done. I like the Calcutta layout, but I couldn’t get past the 40-44 mph top speed. Plus a 2 year wait.

The new Cayo looks awesome, but 3 year wait.

You didn't mention a budget; but, Regulator has a new 26 Hybrid that just came to market. Shaffer makes a beautiful 240 and 270 and Robb Young has both a 24 and 27 as well. All top quality boats.

I know this is a hull discussion and not a motor discussion, but SERIOUSLY consider the DF350. My 25ft bay boat is easier to control than my 21ft was in creeks that are tight and have strong current. The duo prop setup is amazing.

search hull truth for 2800 Blue Wave new open model.
I have been all over the first couple which were in my back yard for photo shoots. Sand and Sea Marine in Stuart Fl. Has one for Sale with a couple changes made from the initial boat.

Personally I was a little freaked by the front deck until I saw and stood on the casting area. Works just fine.
I will be adding a coffin Box and full live well aquarium.

BW could easily make a pop in insert to fill that forward area making it flush as a typical bow.
